Martin Goyette holds a PhD in Social Work from Laval University (Canada). He is a tenured lecturer at the National School of Public Administration (ENAP), holder of the Canada Research Chair in Assessment of Public Actions with respect to Youth and Vulnerable Populations (CREVAJ) and holder of the Chair of the Quebec Youth Research Network (CRJ) - Health and Well-Being Section. He also leads the Longitudinal study on the future of young people in Quebec and France (EDJeP) and co-manages the implementation of a new model for the organisation of youth mental health services (Open area) at the CISSS in Laval and Montréal. His lines of research focus on the education of young people leaving the care system, the participation of young people in the organisation and delivery of services, as well as the analysis of forms of public action, the analysis of social networks and intersectoral youth action through transitions to adulthood. Internationally, Martin Goyette co-represents Canada in INTRAC (International Research Network on Transitions to Adulthood from Care). He is the author of several books, chapters and scientific articles on topics related to his lines of research.

Carme Montserrat Boada holds a PhD, and is a lecturer in the Faculty of Education and Psychology at the University of Girona and Vice-Dean. She coordinates the Liberi, Infancia, Juventud y Comunidad research group at the Institut de Recerca Educativa (IRE). She previously worked in child protection at Barcelona City Council and was a consultant for the Council of Europe. Her main areas of research concern childhood and adolescence in the protection system, both in family and residential care, as well as studies related to young people in foster care, and she leads research projects at national and international level. She is the author and co-author of numerous books and book chapters, as well as articles in scientific journals. Igor Sánchez Álvarez has a teaching diploma in "Special Education" from the University of Valladolid, and a degree in Pedagogy from the Pontifical University of Salamanca. Coordinator of the "Transit Programme" for the social and labour integration of young people leaving the care system, managed by the Isos Foundation (Institute for Training and Research on Social Sustainability), and framed within the 16 -21-year-old Autonomy Plan of the Directorate General for Childhood, Families and Births of the Community of Madrid. Vice-Chairperson and member of the Board of Directors of FEPA (Federación de Entidades con Programas y Pisos Asistidos). Jo Dixon is a researcher and co-director of the Child Welfare Research Group in the Department of Social Policy and Social Work at the University of York, England. She has carried out research relating to children and young people in care, as well as those leaving care. She has conducted research on these issues in government and charity funded projects in England, Scotland and Ireland and assessments of innovative and practical policies for actions aimed at improving outcomes and support for foster children and young people leaving the care system. Catherine Blaya is Senior Lecturer and Dean of the Faculty of Education at the Côte d'Azur University in Nice. She is Lead Researcher at LASALE (Laboratoire Accrochage Scolaire et Alliances Educatives) and member of the Scientific Committee of the Observatory of the social, economic and technical impact of AI - Côte d'Azur University. Her lines of research have mainly focused on issues related to education, relationships between young people, violence in the classroom, bullying and cyberbullying, among others. João Paulo Ferreira Delgado holds a degree in Law and a PhD in Education Sciences from the University of Santiago de Compostela. Abdel Mounaim Hourre is an intercultural social mediator for the Spanish Red Cross. He currently works as an intercultural mediator in the Federation of Pinardi Social Platforms and collaborates as a young protection graduate with the Isos Foundation and its Transit Program. He has developed intercultural mediation functions in the SAMU Foundation and as a monitor in school farms.
Cristóbal Ruiz-Román is Professor of Social Pedagogy in the Department of Theory and History of Education and MIDE at the University of Malaga, Spain. He lectures in the Degree in Social Education and in the Master’s Degree in Social Change and Educational Professions at the same University. He has directed several research projects in the field of resilience and educational support. Teresita Bernal Romero holds a PhD in Educational Theory and Social Pedagogy and a Master's Degree in Educational Research and Innovation from the UNED, Spain. She holds a Master's Degree in Clinical and Family Psychology from the Universidad Santo Tomás, Colombia. Her research has focused on the field of childhood, youth and family, especially on issues related to bonds, autonomy and resilient processes of children, adolescents and young people with social difficulties. She has participated in national and international projects on these issues, funded by the universities themselves and public and private entities. Her research work has been conducted in two research groups: TABA (International Research Group on Social Inclusion and Rights - UNED) and Life Cycle Psychology and Rights (University of Santo Tomás). Jorge Fernández del Valle is Professor of Psychosocial Assistance in the Department of Psychology at the University of Oviedo. He began working as a social educator and later as a psychologist at youth centres in the 1980s. He was also a psychologist in the Family Assistance Programme of the Oviedo City Council until he joined the University of Oviedo full time in 1992. He is Director of the University's Family and Childhood Research Group, whose main line of research is the development of tools for the assessment of the quality of services for unprotected children, particularly in residential and family foster care programmes, as well as support programmes for young people leaving foster care, such as PLANEA. The GIFI also conducts a wide range of training activities for professionals in these fields.

Mariana Andrea Incarnato has a degree in Psychology from the University of Buenos Aires (AUB), a Master's degree in "Design and management of social policies and programmes" and a Postgraduate Diploma in "Support for families and children in situations of social difficulty and child protection. Mistreatment and abuse in childhood" from the AUB. She is the founder of Asociación Civil Doncel, and was its Executive Manager from 2010 to 2019, and she also founded the Latin American Network of Young People leaving the Care System which has 12 countries as members. Mariana is an activist on issues related to children and adolescents without parental care in the region and has been a driving force behind the law on assisted release from care, which has been in force nationwide in Argentina since 2017. She is currently a consultant for various organisations such as UNICEF and an advisor to the legislature of the City of Buenos Aires. Sandra Leopold Costábile holds a PhD in Social Sciences, specialising in Social Work (University of the Republic, Uruguay), a Master's degree in Social Work (Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and University of the Republic). She is a specialist in Social Policies (Faculty of Social Sciences, University of the Republic), Social Worker (University of the Republic), full-time lecturer and researcher at the Department of Social Work, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of the Republic, Co-Coordinator of the Diploma in Juvenile Criminality (Faculty of Social Sciences, University of the Republic) and of the R&D Research Group: Studies on Adolescent Crime, CSIC, UDELAR. Alberto Díaz López is a psychologist and social educator, specialized in psychotherapy and clinical psychology. He has worked as a psychologist at the Landalan Association, in child-youth intervention programs of the Department of Social Action of the Diputación de Vizcaya, since 2001.
